Founder & Director

Nick moved from Boston to Los Angeles with a band in 2001. The band enjoyed some success including a hit song in a film and international tours that took them as far afield as the UK and South Africa.

In 2004 he began a career with the German art publisher, Taschen, spanning almost fourteen years. During his time with the company, he conceived and established the first ever Taschen Gallery, featuring exhibitions including works by artists David Bailey, Peter Beard, David Hockney, Albert Watson, and more. Nick concluded his career with Taschen as US Retail Director before assuming the role of Associate Director at the Fahey/Klein Gallery in Los Angeles.

Long in the works, Cloutman Creative Studio was officially founded in 2020. In addition to artist representation and art advisory services, Nick has offered creative consulting on Emmy Nominated films such as The Rolling Stones, Crossfire Hurricane, books including Ice Cold. A Hip-Hop Jewelry History (Taschen), Let it Bleed by Ethan Russell (Rhino), along with a variety of other specialty projects.
